It feels a bit too late to wish you happy new year but 2025 is still young and we hope to see many of you back at Coorie Inn in 2025 - guests, old and new, can be sure of a warm welcome!
Anyway…a lot has happened since we saw you last.
Coorie Inn may have been closed in January, but there was still plenty going on behind the scenes and we’ve got some lovely news to share with you.
It’s really exciting for us, as a small destination restaurant, to get a bit of attention and 2024 ended on a real high note with the news that Coorie Inn was included in The Good Food Guide Top 50 Best Sunday Roasts in the UK.
The media coverage from this was a lot of fun and Coorie Inn was just one of four Scottish restaurants that made it onto the prestigious list!
As any restaurateur or hotelier will tell you, the busy Christmas and New Year period whizzes past in a blur and it was no different here at Coorie Inn. However, after our January shut-down we came back to even more good news.
Every year, The Courier holds their Food & Drink Awards and we have been shortlisted in the Restaurant of the Year category. Obviously, we would love to win but we are genuinely just thrilled to be nominated. Honestly, that’s not a humble brag - we really mean it.
The winners of The Courier Food & Drink Awards will be announced in March.
And, if that wasn’t enough, we have also been selected as finalists at the 2025 Hotels of the Year Scotland. The prestigious Scotland’s Hotel Honours™ is presented by the National Hotels of the Year Scotland.
We have been nominated in three categories:
Restaurant with Rooms
Dining Destination
Romantic Restaurant
Their expert judge will be paying us a visit soon to see if we’re up to scratch and we hope to impress! The awards will be held at a glittering ceremony in Glasgow at the end of February… it's time for us to dust down our tuxedos and party frocks.

Speaking of visitors, we have also had a few reviewers come to eat and stay with us. It’s always nerve-wracking to be under the watchful gaze of professional critics but everyone who has come to check us out has been very kind and complimentary in their articles. We’ve had some high praise indeed!
